At Squixellfrizae, we are committed to ensuring our students have a positive learning experience. We understand that circumstances can change, and we have designed our return and refund policy to be fair and transparent. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and transfers related to our photography courses and educational services.

We encourage you to read this policy carefully before enrolling in any of our courses. If you have any questions about our return policy, please contact us before making your purchase.

Course Cancellation by Student

Cancellation Before Course Start

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your enrolment before the course begins, the following refund schedule applies:

  • Cancellation 14 or more days before course start: Full refund minus a $50 NZD administrative fee
  • Cancellation 7-13 days before course start: 75% refund of course fees
  • Cancellation 3-6 days before course start: 50% refund of course fees
  • Cancellation less than 3 days before course start: No refund available

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to our administration team. The date of cancellation is considered to be the date we receive your written request.

Cancellation After Course Start

Once a course has commenced, refunds are generally not available for classes already held or scheduled. However, we may consider partial refunds in exceptional circumstances such as serious illness or family emergencies, subject to documentation and management approval. In such cases, refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for remaining sessions, minus an administrative fee.

Course Transfer Options

Transfer to Another Course Date

If you cannot attend your scheduled course, you may request a transfer to a future course date. Transfer requests are subject to availability and must be made at least 7 days before your original course start date. One free transfer is permitted per enrolment. Subsequent transfers may incur a $75 NZD transfer fee.

Transfer to Another Person

Enrolments may be transferred to another person at no additional charge, provided the request is made at least 7 days before the course start date and the new participant meets any course prerequisites. The transferee must complete a new enrolment form and accept our terms and conditions.

Course Cancellation by Squixellfrizae

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure events. In such cases, enrolled students will be offered the following options:

  • Full refund of course fees paid
  • Transfer to another course date at no additional cost
  • Credit towards a different course of equal or greater value

We will make every effort to provide at least 7 days notice of course cancellations or significant schedule changes. However, in cases of emergency or unforeseen circumstances, shorter notice may be provided.

Course Materials and Digital Content

Course materials, including digital workbooks, video content, and reference guides, are provided as part of the course package. Due to the digital nature of these materials, they are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded. If you receive physical course materials, they must be returned in original condition as a requirement for any applicable refund.

Photography Equipment

Some courses may include the use of photography equipment provided by Squixellfrizae. Students are responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment during the course. Equipment damage will be assessed, and repair or replacement costs may be deducted from any applicable refund or charged separately.

Field Trip and Workshop Expenses

Certain courses include field trips or off-site workshops. Any third-party costs associated with these activities, such as venue fees, transportation, or accommodation, may be non-refundable and are subject to the policies of the respective service providers. We will clearly communicate which costs are non-refundable at the time of enrolment.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Submit a written refund request via email to our administration team
  • Include your full name, course name, enrolment date, and reason for the refund request
  • Provide any supporting documentation if applicable, such as information for exceptional circumstances
  • Wait for confirmation from our team within 5 business days

Refund Processing

Once a refund request is approved, we will process the refund using the original payment method within 10-14 business days. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account. Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days after processing.

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Administrative fees
  • Late payment charges
  • Course materials once accessed or downloaded
  • Third-party costs for field trips and workshops as specified
  • Gift certificates or promotional credits
  • No-show fees for missed sessions without prior notification

Special Circumstances

We recognise that exceptional circumstances may arise that are beyond our standard policy scope. In cases of serious illness, bereavement, or other significant life events, please contact us directly to discuss your situation. We will review such requests on a case-by-case basis and work with you to find a fair resolution.

Consumer Guarantees Act

This return policy does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If our services fail to meet the consumer guarantees, you may be entitled to remedies not covered by this policy.

Policy Updates

We reserve the right to modify this return policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. The policy in effect at the time of your enrolment will apply to your purchase.
